Community Support

Community Support

In November 2012, Gatehouse sponsored a visit from Mosaic, a charity founded by HRH The Prince of Wales where a delegation of influential business figures and senior leaders debated the issues facing young people in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the UK.

Through the launch of the Apax-Mosaic Enterprise Challenge competition, Gatehouse employees inspire young people through business-like scenarios, to help them learn key modules of business such as finance, sales, marketing and production.

We also support the Primary School Programme, a unique primary mentoring programme which aims to raise the aspirations of young girls aged 9-11.

We continue to supply volunteer mentors to work with underprivileged schools in the community. Our employees are encouraged to invest time to support children from underprivileged and ethnic minority backgrounds.

UN Refugee Agency Donation

Gatehouse is supporting UNHCR’s Syrian emergency response efforts in a region where more than five million people have been forced to flee their homes since March 2011. The situation is particularly severe in Syria, where the majority of those displaced remain. Increased violence in recent months has disproportionately affected women and children.

UNHCR is providing life-saving shelter, assistance and protection as well as coordinating humanitarian efforts in Syria as well as Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt and northern Africa across 45 international and national agencies.
